Hales is excited to announce that Gray Wielebinski has created a signed limited edition print, launching alongside the first issue of The BitterSweet Review, a biannual magazine dedicated to the advancement of queer literature and visual culture.
Available in print and online, and featuring innovative short fiction, poetry, and essays by emerging and established writers, The BitterSweet Review draws on the grand tradition of literary magazines while paying homage to the history of illicit queer publishing. The inaugural issue is due in Summer 2022 and will feature original contributions from Mattilda Bernstein Sycamore; Paul Clinton; Isabel Waidner; Tarek Lakhrissi and Roberto Rodriguez, amongst others. Each issue will feature a specially commissioned artwork available to purchase as a limited edition in an effort to produce affordable artworks and support their makers.
