Hales is excited to announce the South Asia Institute has invited Aziz Sohail to produce Spotlight on Chitra Ganesh. Chitra will be in conversation with Dr. Natasha Bissonauth discussing Chitra's work, representation, narratives and agency. The spotlight is accompanied by digital animations hosted on SAI's website from 9 January - 25 January 2021.
The animations here were originally commissioned for the Rubin Museum of Art’s exhibition Chitra Ganesh: The Scorpion Gesture, curated by Beth Citron. They were presented later at Times Square's Midnight Moment and at The Kochi Muzuris Bienniale 2018. This is the first time they are available for public streaming, exclusively on South Asia Institute.
