Rachael Champion | Temporary Retention Site for Atmospheric Particles | Berkeley Square, London

Hales is pleased to announce a new outdoor art installation by Rachael Champion, positioned at Berkeley Square, London. The work is commissioned as part of the Berkeley Square Public Art Program by Grosvenor, Britain and Ireland. Curated by Modus Operandi. Fabricated by The White Wall Company.

Temporary Retention Site for Atmospheric Particles takes its inspiration from the remarkable London plane trees of Berkeley Square. An array of bioremediating plant-life is planted in metal drums, reminiscent of the petrochemical industry and re-purposed as vessels to support bio-diversity and a cleaner environment.

It is the second contemporary art commission created especially for this dedicated arts space and is in place from 2nd November 2020.
