"Trenton Doyle Hancock: Skin and Bones, 20 Years of Drawing" travelling to Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art

Hales Gallery is pleased to announce that Trenton Doyle Hancock: Skin and Bones, 20 years of Drawing, organised by the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, is travelling to Virgina Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition has previously travelled to the Akron Art Museum, Ohio and the Studio Museum in Harlem.

Skin & Bones is the first in depth examination of Hancock’s extensive body of drawings, collages, and works on paper. Comprehensive in scope, this survey includes works from 1998 to 2014, ostensibly chronicling the foundation for the artist’s prolific career.
